We were pleased to have Craig from the Echuca Moama Plant Nursery for our speaker in July. Craig and Kate started out as Garden Planners designing Landscaping and Plant placement in a small shop in Heygarth St Echuca. Plants they chose weren’t readily available locally, so they sourced plants for their projects, SO the nursery

On Thursday 15 June 2023 the Group took potted plants and cuttings to Echuca Neighbourhood House in Landsborough St to be given to the recent flood victims from the last 2 years, to hopefully reconstruct their gardens. We provided 150 plants approx for about 30 flood relief victims from Rochester, Echuca, Barmah and surrounds. Also

Our club had an outdoor meeting and picnic lunch at the Moama Echuca Botanical Gardens in Moama on a showery Wednesday. 9 members had a day at Rodney & Shirley Clark’s farm of gorgous Dahlias in flower. Rodney is a well known exhibitor into shows and his knowledge is outstanding. A huge shaded area for Dahlias of all kinds from blowsy to pom poms the colours and form were stunning. Naturally the Chryssies weren’t out yet

On 17 th February 2023 many of our members entered the Echuca Show Horticultural section. With displays of ferns, flowers, succulents,vegetables, herbs, roses & foliage plants entered for scrutineering by judge Margaret Orso. On Friday 4 Nov 2022 seven adventurous members visited four stunning gardens in Castlemaine. Early start with 2 cars at 8 am. 1st garden was MOSSBANK this garden was established in 1986-87 on 3 acres of a mixture of exotics & native plantings, beautiful trees include white cedars, pinoak, chinese elms, grevillias, acacias & leptosperums.
