On Friday 17 Sep and Saturday 18 Sep, two seperate groups due to COVID restrictions, we enjoyed a pleasurable trip to Heather McKeans in Balendella stunning orchid displays and her delightful garden. On Thursday 20th May 2021 thirteen members trekked across to Shepparton Botanical Gardens, estb in 2011. The former landfill site is being regenerated into a showcase of Australian native plants set amongst distinct themed gardens and bushland, that celebrate the history and diversity of our region. On our May 12 meeting we had Barbara Watson from Bendigo, well known rose expert and judge to speak about caring for roses. We had a magnificent display of autumn roses with many different kinds named. We were pleased to see so many members for this very informed talk on all things ROSES. Tips on

Rosemary and Les conducted a floral art centre piece workshop with our choice of flowers leaves succulents ribbons beads etc. There were many different styles created with much help from Rosemary and Les, laughter and innovative designs. The finished centre pieces were very colourful and everyone enjoyed being able to get our creative juices flowing.

On 20th April 12 Members & friends enjoyed our day at the gardens, old & new. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t the best but we came prepared . Highlight was the native parrot aviary so colourful.
